A relationship made in the mountains

While climbing in northern Kachin State, Ashton met local mountain guides who, outside the climbing season, work as wild cordyceps hunters. Through those personal connections, he was introduced to the cordyceps growing in the high-altitude Himalayan environment of northern Myanmar. What began as an encounter during a mountain journey became a direct sourcing relationship with the guide-hunters themselves, and eventually the beginning of Cordyceps with Ashton.
